PRIVATE YOGA THERAPY
Sometimes group classes are not ideal to address specific imbalances whether body or mind related. During your intake session I look to gain a comprehensive understanding of all things you. From this understanding and your specific goals I design a personalized Yoga program incorporating various and specific Yoga tools of movement, breath and meditation to promote healing and wellness throughout. During the weekly/regular sessions I will continue to support your progress towards your initial goals.
NO YOGA EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Women living out their life cycle will typically spend more than a third of it post menopause (and half if you include peri-menopause).
Menopause is NOT A DISEASE that always demands medical intervention; though for some, being supported by medical wisdom can very beneficial. Possible challenges may include:
- Hot flashes, night sweats and/or cold flashes,
- GUSM (genito-urinary syndrome menopause formerly vaginal atrophy),
- sleeping challenges,
- emotional changes,
- dry everything,
- breast tenderness,
- racing heart,
- joint and muscle aches and pain,
- changes in libido (sex drive),
- brain fog,
- weight gain,
- hair thinning/loss.
In this workshop I’ll share specific and proven Yoga poses/sequences and breathing techniques that supports physical, mental and emotional wellness optimally during and after the menopause. Acknowledging the changes and being kind(er) to yourself during and after menopause allows for a gentler transition to the ‘new’ and next phase(s) of your life with excitement and curiosity instead of fear and hopelessness.

Paddleboard infused Yoga is an amazing experience. Getting grounded and connecting to stability through fluidity is a feast for the senses and a vitality infusion. We'll cover SUB (stand-up paddleboard) basics from how to get on, paddle and of course how to incorporate Yoga poses on the board.

8 Weeks Yoga Therapy classes supporting YOUR wellness goals
Research overwhelmingly supports the benefits of a regular yoga practice for optimal and continued wellness of all bodily systems and this is especially true after 50, 60, 70+ where BIG changes not only creep in but can set up camp and speed up the aging trajectory if not addressed. Yoga supports healthy mobility, attaining/maintaining healthy posture and weight, lowered cholesterol, lower blood pressure (ie the all too common cardiovascular diseases), in short helping you become and stay healthy so you can keep on staying healthy and even slow down and YES, reverse your aging. Maybe you’ve suffered an injury or illness that lingers on leaving you with limited mobility, chronic pain that is preventing you from enjoying living your life or maybe you ‘just’ want to move better and feel better and get ahead of the aging curve.
